Salt and light (8 February)
I’ve wrestled with this week’s gospel passage (Matthew Chapter 5: 13-20) because its message is so enigmatic. It is one of those where simplicity belies complexity. We are called to become salt and light. What does that mean in our daily living? In my sermon I will offer some suggestions on how artists might bring us insights.
Ash Wednesday approaches and we will soon be in the season of Lent. This does not have to be a time of denial. You might like to think of it as a time for taking up more reflection and exploration. A group will gather after the 10.30 Eucharist on Thursdays to do just that. (See details of Lenten activity on the Services page).
Wishing you grace and peace,
Linda
