A joyous arrival (5 April, Easter Day)

We have journeyed through Holy Week together and have had the opportunity to enter deeply into Jesus’ passion. It is potentially a challenge to live in the mundane world with its regular stress, while acknowledging our spiritual desire for contemplation. I pray that you have taken the opportunity to participate in the Triduum (the three day worship cycle of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Day). If you are away at present, I hope you are still able to join with your Christian brothers and sisters in another place. One of my memorable Easters resulted from impromptu visits in a country area.

It has been wonderful to gather in St James and All Saints, and I look forward to our ongoing worship together.
